We have developed a specialized shipping and delivery process designed to minimize stress and ensure your new family member arrives in peak condition. 1. Specialized Avian Transport 

We do not use standard courier services for our birds. All shipping is handled through transport methods which maintain climate control and ensure safety for pets. The professional airlines operate special programs to transport live animals together with ground transport teams who handle exotic species including Macaws, African Greys and Cockatoos.

2. Weather and Temperature Safety 

Bird health is highly sensitive to extreme temperatures.

  • Temperature Checks: We monitor weather conditions at the departure point, transit hubs, and the final destination.
  • Shipping Holds: If temperatures are below 40°F (4°C) or above 85°F (29°C), we reserve the right to delay shipping until conditions are safe for the bird. We will notify you immediately if a delay is necessary.

3. Shipping Containers & Comfort 

Every bird is shipped in a custom-built, airline-approved travel crate.

  • Ventilation: Optimized for airflow while maintaining security.
  • Sustenance: Each crate is equipped with moisture-rich fruits and specialized seeds to keep the bird hydrated and fed during the journey.
  • Bedding: Non-toxic, absorbent bedding is used to maintain a clean environment throughout transit.

4. Shipping Costs & Documentation

  • Costs: Shipping fees are calculated based on the size of the crate, the species, and the destination. These fees are separate from the price of the bird and will be provided during the inquiry process. For full details, please review our Terms & Conditions.
  • Documents: All necessary health certificates, DNA sexing results (if applicable), and hatch certificates will be securely attached to the crate or sent digitally prior to arrival.

5. Arrival and Pickup Instructions

  • Tracking: We provide you with a tracking number and a confirmed flight or arrival schedule.
  • Timely Pickup: For airport pickups, it is mandatory that you are present at the cargo terminal at the scheduled time. Prolonged waiting at the facility can cause unnecessary stress for the bird.
  • ID Requirement: You must present a valid government-issued ID to claim your bird from the transport facility.
6. Live Arrival Guarantee 

We guarantee that your bird will arrive alive and healthy.

  • Immediate Inspection: Upon receiving your bird, please inspect them immediately.
  • Reporting: In the extremely rare event of an issue, you must notify CA Exoticss Birds within 2 hours of arrival with photographic or video evidence.
7. Acclimation Period 

Once home, we recommend keeping your bird in a quiet, warm environment for the first 24–48 hours to allow them to adjust to their new surroundings. The time after life events demands minimal contact with people.
